00:35
1. Battlefield 2042 The next generation of first-person shooters
00:49
is coming this October 22. If you’re expecting a story-driven adventure or a strong campaign,
00:55
you might be disappointed since 2042 is strongly focused on multiplayer. Engage in insane,
01:02
ever-changing battlefields in open-world firefights with players from around the world. Ride choppers
01:07
and tanks and blow them up to smithereens in true new-gen visuals. Just look at that
01:13
Sandstorm, dude!
01:16
2. Dying Light 2 The sequel to the impressive open-world zombie
01:21
parkour game from the creators of the now-forgotten Dead Island series. Now with today’s technology
01:26
backing its gameplay, enjoy a living and breathing world full of undead. This time, it’s leaning
01:34
more into RPG territory. Make your own decisions and pick a faction from its splintered world.
01:40
Hop from building to building during daytime, but be careful during the night. Coming out
01:48
on December 7.
01:52
3. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2 Heart Of Chernobyl One of Microsoft’s most ambitious projects.
02:04
A franchise that’s more than 10 years old, STALKER’s next chapter is gearing up for
02:08
the next-gen experience. The world of Pripyat is as terrifying as ever with crazy anomalies
02:14
and mutated creatures. Looking at the trailer, the gunplay looks smooth and the visuals and
02:19
atmosphere are phenomenal. It’s available to play on Game Pass once it comes out on
02:30
April 28, 2022.
02:40
4. Far Cry 6 Ubisoft’s next first-person shooter slash
02:48
open-world adventure is taking us to Yara, a fictional town ruled by a ruthless dictator
02:53
played by none other than Giancarlo Esposito. Become a freedom fighter and save the oppressed
02:58
people from Anton’s bloody rule. As with all Far Cry games, you will have a variety
03:03
of weapons at your disposal. This time around, you’re equipped with a backpack rocket-launcher
03:08
and you can use animals to aid you in your missions to destabilize the government. Coming
03:13
this October 7.
03:15
5. New World Amazon Studios’ ambitious MMO project is
03:20
nearing its release. New World is Amazon’s attempt to make a better and bigger version
03:25
of Blizzard’s World of Warcraft. As a shipwrecked adventurer, make your own choices and survive
03:30
the world using a variety of skills in real-time combat. There will be PvE and PvP challenges
03:36
coming once the game is out this August 31.
03:40
6. Bleak Faith: Forsaken Anyone looking to scratch that Souls-like
03:46
or Bloodborne itch on the PC can finally enjoy something similar with Bleak Faith. Set in
03:52
a dark and desolate world full of Eldritch terrors, play as a lone Forsaken warrior wandering
03:57
around its brutal open-world. There’s not a definite release date yet, but it’s scheduled
04:01
to come out this year, if all things go well for the two devs working on it.
04:07
7. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Extraction The Rainbow team is facing a different threat
04:14
this time around. Instead of themselves, the enemy is an ever-evolving parasite that can
04:18
control a horde of dangerous creatures. If you’ve played Siege before, you’ll be
04:23
selecting from an array of familiar faces and working together in the three-player co-op.
04:28
Think of it as a Hostage mode, but with relentless enemies coming at you from every corner. Its
04:34
60 Dollar price tag might make it easy to snub your nose at. It comes out on September
04:38
16.
04:47
8. Elden Ring E3 started off strong by showing the much
04:59
awaited trailer for FromSoft’s biggest game to date. Elden Ring feels like a combination
05:04
of all things great about Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Sekiro packed into one impressive open-world
05:10
RPG. The world is as immersive as ever with its insane monsters and art direction . There’s
05:16
a lot of questions that still need to be answered, but at least we can finally say that the game
05:22
is real. It comes out January 21, 2022.
05:35
9. Back 4 Blood It’s time we say goodbye to the Left 4 Dead
05:46
craze now that Valve has completely abandoned any hope for future content. The creators
05:52
of that classic zombie shooter are currently pumping out a better multiplayer experience
05:57
with Back 4 Blood. This zombie PvE can let you play with up to three friends and face
06:02
off against hordes of dangerous undead, or engage in fun PvP where you play as the monsters.
06:09
The Beta was well received, so let’s hope the full game goes up and beyond to prove
06:13
that. It’s coming this 12th of October and available on the Game Pass 4 days after.
06:19
10. Guardians Of The Galaxy A game that took us by surprise during Square
06:28
Enix’s presentation. This brand new take on MARVEL’s ragtag group of heroes is somewhat
06:32
refreshing. Follow Peter Quill and his gang as they embark on an interstellar adventure.
06:38
Gameplay is similar to Marvel’s Avengers, but with a strong focus on single-player story-driven
06:42
gameplay and only Quill as the playable character. There’s still a lot of things that don’t
06:53
add up with the reveal, but we’ll get some answers soon before it comes out this October
06:58
26.
06:59
11. Atomic Heart BioShock’s estranged Russian sibling, well,
07:06
not really. Mundfish’s first-person shooter was in development for such a long time, but
07:11
it looks like the wait is finally over. The trailers are still all about the Soviet BS,
07:16
but at least we get news that it’s coming out next year on January 21st. It comes with
07:17
Ray Tracing support for those powered-up GPUs and it will be available on Game Pass at launch
07:22
too!
07:28
12. Avatar: Frontiers Of Pandora Ubisoft’s final reveal during their presentation
07:42
was something we didn’t expect. We’ve known that there’s more than one Avatar
07:46
movie coming soon, but a videogame? They didn’t waste time showing us the gorgeous world it
07:51
has to offer with a cinematic trailer. Unfortunately, no gameplay was shown but knowing Ubisoft
07:57
and their detail when it comes to their world, maybe we might be in for something more. It’s
08:02
coming sometime next year!
08:13
13. Redfall A new IP from Arkane Studios, the studio behind
08:28
Prey and the Dishonored series. It was saved up for the very end of Bethesda’s presentation.
08:33
We expected more gameplay but they only gave us a 5 minute cinematic detailing the adventures
08:38
in a vampire-infested town. The characters look promising and it’s obvious they have
08:43
unique abilities that can aid players in co-op or solo. That’s all we know so far, unfortunately,
08:49
but it’s expected to come out next year.
08:53
14. Starfield Bethesda’s biggest project before we get
08:58
to taste The Elder Scrolls VI. Starfield is the science-fiction space-exploration counterpart
09:04
to their acclaimed Medieval-Fantasy series. Although they gave no gameplay, a release
09:08
date was shown along with a glimpse into what we should expect in this brave interstellar
09:13
frontier. It’s a Microsoft Exclusive that comes out November 11 next year and it’s
09:18
available on Game Pass at launch.
09:21
15. Tales Of Arise The latest addition to the Tales series is
09:27
turning the scale up to eleven with its fantastic visuals and massive worlds to explore. Arise
09:33
will retain the tried and tested gameplay formula from its previous titles, but with
09:37
the added flair of real-time engagements. The latest trailer revealed some of the characters
09:50
we’ll be playing. There’s still a lot of mystery in its story, so maybe we’ll
09:54
hear more about it before it releases on September 10.
09:58
16. Age Of Empires IV In development since 2017, we’ve been dying
10:04
to know when this game will come out. Now with a firm release date and a strong publisher
10:09
backing it up, Age of Empires IV is finally a reality. From what we’ve seen in the trailer,
10:16
it looks like the quality of its real-time strategy gameplay has improved. The visual
10:20
overhaul makes every battle feel almost realistic. We can finally return to using our mouse and
10:25
keyboards just like the good ol’ days. It’s coming out on October 28 and it will be available
10:30
on Game Pass at launch.
10:35
17. Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands A spin-off to the acclaimed shooter from Gearbox.
10:50
It still has the same amount of carnage and mayhem as we’d expect from a Borderlands
10:54
game, but this time, more Magic is involved. It’s a full-fledged game with Borderlands’
10:59
Bunkmaster Tiny Tina taking the helm. The game features co-op gameplay and the same
11:04
snappy combat the series was known for. Expect some crazy new weapons here, now that the
11:09
‘Fantasy’ genre is into the mix. It’s slated for release this early 2022.
11:15
18. Solar Ash From the creators of the stylish Hyper Light
11:20
Drifter comes a different kind of purple-soaked adventure set in a sprawling science fiction
11:25
world. The recent trailer gave us a glimpse of its movement and combat and yes, like Hyper
11:30
Light, it’s smooth and satisfying. It’s fast-paced gameplay is a step up from its
11:35
previous titles, now that it’s on a third-person perspective. It’s set to release sometime
11:40
this year.
11:50
19. Lost Ark Another competitor to the MMORPG market is
12:03
a South Korean project that’s bound for release this year. Like New World, it is completely
12:09
free to play and it’s published by Amazon as well. The atmosphere and design are reminiscent
12:14
of classic Final Fantasy worlds. It features a deep RPG system where players forge their
12:19
own legend and mix and match adaptable skills. It’s coming to the Western market this Fall.
12:26
20. Replaced Pixel games have revolved around the indie
12:31
realm for quite some time now. It’s not expensive and it gives more room for experimentation.
12:37
In Replaced, this Microsoft exclusive action-side scroller is oozing with style. The trailer
12:43
gave off a combination of Blade Runner and Katana Zero with its action-packed gameplay
12:48
and gorgeous futuristic visuals. Not much is known about its story yet, but we know
12:54
it’s coming to Game Pass on day one next year.
12:59
21. The Anacrusis An infinitely playable 4-player co-op where
13:06
you survive a derelict space-ship surrounded by Aliens. Yep, it’s not the most original
13:12
plot, but it's compensated by its stellar writing created by former Valve writer, Chet
13:17
Faliszek. It’s coming this Fall 2021 and it’s available on the Xbox Game Pass at
13:22
launch.
13:24
22. Forza Horizon 5 Microsoft’s premier open-world racing game
13:34
truly feels next-gen. 5 is the biggest and the most beautiful looking Forza game to date.
13:40
Set in the lush and arid Mexican landscapes, ride through the horizon with its seamless
13:44
multiplayer gameplay where you meet other players around its massive world. The devs
13:49
at Turn 10 Studios did a great job replicating the atmosphere and photorealism of the landmarks
13:55
of Mexico. It’s coming out on November 9 and it’s available on the Game Pass at launch.
14:01
23. A Plague Tale: Requiem The next chapter of Amicia and Hugo’s journey
14:08
might be its darkest yet. The rat-infested European streets are still around and they're
14:13
as dangerous as ever. However, what we’ve seen so far is only a cinematic trailer. Gameplay
14:20
is limited, but we’re sure to see more of it in the months to come before it comes out
14:24
to Microsoft consoles and the Game Pass next year.
14:33
24. Life Is Strange: True Colors DeckNine’s latest Life is Strange project
14:43
centers around a new character with her own supernatural ability. Alex Chen’s empathic
14:49
powers let her manipulate the world around her through feeling other people’s emotions.
14:53
It can make or break her journey to uncover the mystery of her dead brother. True Colors
14:58
is the first of the series to release all episodes in one go. That means we don’t
15:03
have to wait for 3 months for an episode to drop. It’s coming this September 10!
15:10
25. Halo: Infinite Microsoft’s much awaited science fiction
15:18
shooter is nearing its release, somewhat. The recent Xbox presentation showcased its
15:24
heavily demanded multiplayer mode which launches alongside Master Chief’s latest adventure
15:28
as a free-to-play. The trailer gave us a few nostalgia trips, including old weapons and
15:33
vehicles making a comeback. Not only that, the addition of the Grappling Hook mechanic
15:38
gives more room for mobility when taking out other players. Did we mention it’s also
15:43
coming out in Game Pass? Halo Infinite is coming out this Fall.
